Wilson County Invitational --
Lebanon 9, Dyersburg 8
Clayton Thorne's base hit in the bottom of the seventh plated Jonathan Presley with the game-winner as the Blue Devils knocked off Dyersburg 9-8 at Brent Foster Field in Thursday's (March 23) opening round of the Wilson County Invitational.
Eli McDearman had a triple and two singles while Thorne finished two hits and Nick Sanders belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth.
Ryan Smith picked up the win in relief of starter Trevor Sanders who struck out five over four innings.

Wilson Central 6, Springfield 0
Wilson Central blanked Springfield 6-0 Thursday evening in the opening round of the Wilson County Invitational.
Lefty Andrew Franklin worked five innings, striking out 11 and allowing two hits to get the decision.
Franklin helped his own cause with a two-run single.
Ethan Shelton added two RBI on a single and a double while catcher Chase Ford had a single and a double.
Leading 2-0, the Wildcats broke the game open with a four-spot in the bottom of the fifth.

Mt. Juliet 5, Arlington 2
Mt. Juliet junior Eric Rice drove in a pair of runs with a two-out pinch hit in the sixth inning in Thursday's 5-2 victory over Arlington in the opening round of the Wilson County Invitational.
Ethan Smith started and went four and a third innings with five K's for the win. Cade Hoppe closed to get the save.
Aiden Raines had a single and a double and Hoppe added a pair of singles.
The Golden Bears improved to 5-2 on the season and will host Dyersburg Friday at 7 p.m.

Mt. Juliet 7, Fairview 0
Dalton Earheart drove in two runs and Eric Rice had had a pair of singles in Thursday's 7-0 victory over Fairview.
John Dowless started and went six innings for the decision, striking out nine and allowing two hits.

Watertown 9, Lancaster Christian 1
Watertown pounded out 14 hits, including a solo homer by catcher Bo Whitlock in Thursday's 9-1 victory over Lancaster Christian Academy in the opening round of the Wilson County Invitational.
The Tigers (3-2) got a stellar pitching performance from Kannan Akins who held LCA to just one hit over 4 and 2/3 innings before giving way to Landry Williams.
Brandon Allison, Heath Price, Whitlock, Tyler Vastola (2 RBI) and Jarred Bradshaw each collected multiple hits for WHS.
Vastola and Seth Price each drove in two runs to lead Purple Tigers.

FCS 8, Station Camp 3
Friendship Christian's Ethan Bult (2-0) worked five strong innings to get the decision in Thursday's 8-3 victory over Station Camp in the opening round of the Wilson County Invitational.
Braden Reece paced the offense with three singles and an RBI while Ben Jamison added a pair of hits.
the Commanders put the game out of reach with a three-spot in the sixth inning.

FCS 6, BGA 6 (8 innings)
Friendship Christian and Battle Ground Academy battled to a 6-6 tie in Thursday's second game of the WCIT.
Matthew Swann had an RBI on a pair of double and Reece ripped a two-run single.
FCS (5-2-1) was scheduled to host Lancaster Christian Academy Friday at 6:30 p.m.
