LEBANON -- Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. at Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mrs. Thurley, 82, of Lebanon.
Born in Dundee, Scotland, she died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at University Medical Center.
A member of the First Presbyterian Church, she was an accomplished seamstress -- having served an apprenticeship as a tailoress.
She was a veteran of the British Army where she met her husband, Douglas.
She came to America in 1957 and became involved in sewing and embroidery guilds.
Visitation Friday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Douglas Thurley; children Sheila (Carl) Schmaedig, Diane (Ed) Roddey and Rod (Dawn) Thurley.
Also surviving are grandchildren Jennifer, Hunter and Hannah Thurley and Joshua Crosslin; great-grandchildren Trenton, Isley and Ronan Cross; sister Anna Smith; and brother James (Moyra) Smith.
