Mark Britt wins in Lafayette

Blue Devil boys place third overall
LAFAYETTE -- A first place finish from Lebanon's Mark Britt led the Blue Devil cross country team to third place in Saturday's Macon Bank Invitational.

Cookeville won the meet with 73 points, Mt. Juliet finished second with 88 points and LHS placed third with 93 points.

Britt ran the 5,000 meter course in 16:56. Anthony Reeves placed fourth with a time of 16:51; Caleb Kawasaki ran a 17:50 for 12th place; Jacob Andrews finished 38th with a time of 18:57.

Noah Chance ran a 19:11 and finished 43rd; Austin Montgomery placed 48th at 19:19 and Thiech Rambang was 56th with a time of 20:00 flat.

Lebanon's girls placed fifth as a team as Caitlyn Strickland finished fifth overall with a time of 21:07. Allie Dozier was 19th at 22:21; Leanne Raymond was 23rd at 22:43; Maddie Martin ran a 23:37 for 33rd; Cloe Garner was 37th at 23:57 and Jordan Campbell placed 49th with a time of 25:16.

The Blue Devils will be back in action Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Beech Invitational at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville.
