Marvin "Buck" Webster, age 90 of Lebanon passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at Quality Care.
Born Oct. 14, 1925, in Alexandria, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Harve and Myrtle Webster. He was an Army veteran serving during World War II, and was a retired brick mason. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Clara Cubbins Webster and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by two daughters: Shirlene (Bill) Tomlinson and Patty (Willie B.) McGowan; six grandchildren, Melanie Hackney, Chad (Michelle) McGowen, Kimberly Michelle McGowan, Shane (Lori) McGowan, Chasity Meridith, and Bill (Gail) Tomlinson Jr.; half sister, Katie Nell Creed; half brother, special friends, David and Helen Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Marvin "Buck" Webster will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Brother Gordon Lee officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation Wednesday 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday after 10 a.m. at Ligon & Bobo.
