Mary Elizabeth Hagar, age 84, of Hermitage, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on Dec. 5, 2016.
Mary was born on Feb. 1, 1932 in Nashville, TN to the late, Andrew Miller and Margaret Louise Huffman Roberson. She attended Central High School and was retired from Gibson Guitar. Mary was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Donelson for over 50 years.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Jesse Lucille, Emma Lois and Martha Louise and brothers, James William, Andrew Eugene and Floyd Wesley.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as, a tremendous cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by husband of 64 years, John Hagar, children, Michael (Cindy) Hagar, Pat (Russell) Hajek and Melvin (Debbie) Hagar, grandchildren, Nathan, Jessica, Emily (Eric) and Claire (Kris), great-grandchildren, Brandon, Camden, Christopher, and baby girl Russell due April 2017, several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to especially thank niece, Wanda Kemp, for the care she provided to Mary in her last days.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jim Cross and Reverend Jack Barron officiating.
Interment will follow at Binkley-Steele-Hagar Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Hagar, Melvin Hagar, Russell Hajek, Kris Russell, Eric Gunderson, Brandon Garrison and Chris Crutchfield.
Honorary pallbearers will be the "Joy Class" at First Baptist Church of Donelson.
