Mary Simms Lindsley, 86

ALBUQUERQUE, NM -- Former Lebanon resident Mary Simms Lindsley, 86, died April 22, 2010, while at home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Born in 1924 on the family farm in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Will W. Simms and Elizabeth Horne Gaither.
Mrs. Lindsley was a homemaker who used her artistic talent to create beautiful quilts, and cross-stitched pillows, Christmas ornaments and other gifts, for her family.
Services were held Thursday, April 29 at French Mortuary. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Park, Albuquerque.
Survivors include siblings Vincent Simms, Julian Simms, Louis Simms, Evelyn Carmichael and Joyce Woodall; children Daniel Lindsley, Donald Lindsley, David Lindsley, Douglas Lindsley, Marilyn Collins, Barbara Galloway, Patrice Capps, Joan Wilkinson and Susan Beck.
Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter Janice K. Lindsley; sister Lucille Harlan and grandson Kenneth Collins.
French Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
