LEBANON -- Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Gnewikow, 85, of Lebanon.
The widow of the late Milo Gnewikow, she died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia where she had been living since 2007 following the death of her husband.
Mrs. Gnewikow was a dedicated wife and mother as she traveled with her husband across the country while he was in the US Air Force and later an oil field engineer.
In later years, Mrs. Gnewikow was a regular volunteer at their church and was always there to help friends and neighbors in need.
She and her husband were founding members of Mt. Juliet's Celebration Lutheran Church.
Services were conducted by Pastors Kevin Martin and Howard Mettee. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include: daughter Fonda (Danny) Evans; sons Kevin and Danny (Linda) Gnewikow; grandchildren Julie (Scott) Fey, David (Melanie) Gnewikow, Sara (James) Wilburn and Holly (Jeremy) Spencer and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Milo Gnewikow and parents Alvin and Golda Phillips Mercer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Celebration Lutheran Church, Mt. Juliet.
