Kelly Newton, a Mt. Juliet resident, has written a book, her first, called Embracing a Spirit of Giving, and will be signing copies of it at the Home for the Holidays event to be held Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Mt. Juliet Community Center in Charlie Daniels Park.
She shares personal stories and principles she learned while doing a 25-day countdown where she and her children went out and gave to others in simple, loving ways.
“I wanted to teach my kids the greater blessing isn’t in what we receive, but in what we give. And the best gift we can give is the gift of ourselves,” Newton said.
She will also sign copies of her book at the upcoming Wilson Living Magazine Holiday Expo set for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22-23, at The Mill at Lebanon, and the Holiday Splendor Trunk Show on Saturday, Dec. 7, in Murfreesboro.
The book is also available at www.kellychristinebooks.com and online at amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.
Home for the Holidays is sponsored by Support Local Mt. Juliet Small Business and is a vendor and craft fair to be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday.
