Mt. Juliet Christian Academy introduced Pearl-Cohn assistant Dan Davis as the new head coach of the Saints' football program in a press conference Monday, April 7 in the Stilts Sportsplex.
Davis, 39, is a native of Milwaukee, Wis., and played college football at Tennessee State University.
Davis replaces Jake Roberts who resigned after two seasons as head coach to take an assistant's position in East Tennessee. In two seasons at MJCA, Roberts led the Saints to a record of 5-15.
Expected to teach in the History Department at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy, Davis said, "I'm not coming here just to hang out -- I'm coming here to win. My job here is to build a winner. It's a question of change over time, I want to walk the halls and get the numbers up."
Davis has been at Pearl-Cohn for the past nine years and before that, spent two seasons at Glencliff High working under the late Jim Wilson.
