Members of the Mt. Juliet High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter were one of 36 teams that recently participated in the National FFA Agricultural Issues Forum Career Development Event (CDE) held in conjunction with the 89th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis.

Caitlin Davis, Caden Neville, Parker Redmond, Bobbi Armstrong, Taylor Frost, Samantha Clifton and Jeremy Roberts competed with 214 other members from across the country. The Mt. Juliet team, led by advisor Lindsey Nicholas, was awarded a silver emblem.

The members of the top four teams in the nation received cash awards to recognize their success in the event. The cash awards and the agricultural issues forum event are sponsored by Elanco Animal Health. The National FFA Agricultural Issues Forum CDE is a competitive event that tests students' knowledge of agricultural issues and evaluates how well they can apply classroom knowledge to real-life situations.
