MJMS harriers qualify for state

SMYRNA -- The Mt. Juliet Middle School cross country teams fared well Saturday, Oct. 11 at Sharp Springs Park in the Mid-State Championships.

The Golden Bears defeated 21 other teams and won for the ninth time in a row, qualifying for the second consecutive season to run in the Middle School State Championship meet planned for Knoxville, Saturday, Oct. 18.

The girls placed fourth, qualifying as a team for the first time in the history of the program.

The boys team includes: Austin Powell, Tyler Stewart, Ben Pham, Henry Griffin, Aaron Isbell, Colby Crumpton, Nash Casler, Mason Huddleston, Nicolas Davis, Hunter Taylor, Griffen Anderson, David Breedlove, Landon Morgan and Elias St. Peter.

The girls team includes: Jalyn Jenkins, Hailey Parker, Julia Karsten, Ali Johnson, Chelsea Druen, and Kee-Lee Overbeck.

Coaches are Bobby Pruitte and Jamie Jenkins.
