MJPD offering reward in shooting

Mt. Juliet Police detectives as still looking for the two individuals responsible for a shooting on Easat Caldwell Street in February.

According to police, two unknown persons shot at a house in the 40 block of East Caldwell Street. Detectives are now offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s).

On February 21, around 2:45 a.m., officers were called to the area after two people reported hearing gunshots. Officers eventually located a single home that had gunshot damage.

At the scene, further investigation revealed that an unknown dark-colored SUV pulled-up near the home. Two shooters from the SUV then shot at the home, using a handgun and shotgun. Detectives then found bullet holes from two shotgun and approximately 10 handgun rounds.

No bullets penetrated the home, which was occupied during the shooting. There were no injuries related to this incident.
