BULLETIN -- Former Mt. Juliet High baseball standout Taylor Hill has been called up to the major leagues by the Washington Nationals.
Hill, a right-handed pitcher who played at Vanderbilt, has reeled off a 9-2 record with a 1.92 ERA so far this season for Triple A Syracuse. He will join the Nationals later today (Wednesday) in Milwaukee.
Hill played for Coach Mark Purvis at Mt. Juliet High and was named the Gatorade Tennessee Baseball Player of the Year in 2007.
