Cameron Woodfin, the most prolific single season scorer in the history of the Mt. Juliet High soccer program, has signed an NCAA National letter of Intent and scholarship papers to continue his education and athletic career at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City.
Woodfin, a two-year Golden Bear captain, has scored 28 regular season goals and four more in the post season, helping his team to a record of 15-4 and a second consecutive District 9-AAA tournament title.
He has recorded six hat tricks and is averaging close to two goals per game. He was named Thursday night as District 9-AAA Most Valuable Player.
Woodfin will graduate from Mt. Juliet High with honors and in the top 10% of the class with a GPA of 4.325. He plans to study Physics with an emphasis in Oncology at ETSU.
Mt. Juliet defeated Station Camp High 2-0 in Thursday night's 9-AAA finals and will host West Creek Monday in the Region 5-AAA opener.
