The fall installation of the Watertown Mile Long Yard Sale is coming up this Saturday, Oct. 3.

Shoppers can enjoy hunting for unique items, as well as clothing, equipment and collectibles, beginning at 7 a.m.

Coordinator Jim Amero, who owns Jim's Antiques on the Watertown Square, has "officially" been involved in planning the spring and fall events for the past 10 years.

The Watertown Mile Long Yard Sale is now in its 27th year. Amero said vendors are coming from as far as Kansas for the event.

There will also be over a dozen food vendors - supplying everything from roasted corn to peanut brittle. Amero said the Watertown Fire Department will have a fish fry that day as well.

If folks prefer a sit-down meal, Amero added that there are five restaurants in town to enjoy.

"The whole atmosphere is family-oriented," he said. "We have something to tease them to get them here. They (shoppers) will find something they don't even need to find. It is a reunion-type thing. They come to Watertown every year for the yard sale."

The Watertown Mile Long Yard Sale will go on rain or shine.
