Lebanon upsets tourney host
MEMPHIS -- Zyrina Neuble nailed a pair of free throws with 14 seconds remaining in regulation as Lebanon knocked off tournament host Harding Academy 44-42 Monday, Dec. 19 in the "More Than A Game" tournament.
Down 24-21 at intermission, the Devilettes clawed back and led 41-36 with 2:44 to go in the game, only to see Harding Academy tie the score at 42-all with 43 seconds left on the clock.
Ninth grader Allissa Mulaski drilled four 3-pointers, three in the third period, to lead LHS with 14 points.
Neuble and Anne Marie Heidenbreicht each had seven and Maleigha Oldham finished with six points.
The Devilettes connected on just seven of 18 from the line (38 percent) and moved to 6-5 on the season headed into Tuesday's 6 p.m. semifinal game with Bartlett High.

Wilson Central 50, ML King Magnet 12
CLARKSVILLE -- Wilson Central improved to 11-0 on the season following Monday's 50-12 rout of Nashville's Martin Luther King Magnet in the opening round of the Rossview Roundball Christmas Tournament.
The Lady 'Cats opened the game on a 15-2 run and took a 27-4 lead into intermission.
Addison Byrd led all scorers with 20 points including six 3-pointers while ninth grader Lindsey Freeman added 10.
Central was scheduled to play either host Rossview or Harpeth Hall on Tuesday.

Goodpasture 52, Friendship Christian 44
NASHVILLE -- Friendship Christian's Lady Commanders dropped a 52-44 decision to Goodpasture Monday afternoon at Bridgestone Arena.
FCS led 11-8 after on period, then saw the Lady Cougars out-score them 14-7 in the second to take a 22-18 lead into intermission.
Friendship Christian junior guard Ashlyn Pittman had 22 points in the loss and led all scorers.
Autumn Groves added 12 while Hailey Pittman had six points.
Lauren King led Goodpasture with 14 points.
FCS (4-6) will return to action Dec. 29 against Skyline, Ala. in the opening round of the Sgt. York Southeastern Christmas Invitational -- being hosted by York Institute.

Maynard Evans (FL) 74, Watertown 29
ORLANDO, FL -- Watertown's Tigerettes slid into the consolation bracket of the KSA Pre-Holiday Tournament with Monday's 74-29 loss to Maynard Evans High (FL) at ESPN's Walt Disney World Complex.
Watertown stood 6-7 overall headed into Tuesday's second round game.
Ashlea Dickens led the Tigerettes with 17 points -- including five 3-pointers.
Mya Huddleston added seven while Brenna Luttrell and Emma Edwards each scored two points.

Mt. Juliet 51, Hunters Lane 26
THOMPSONS STATION -- Mt. Juliet's Lady Bears broke open a close game with an 18-3 third period run in Saturday afternoon's 51-26 victory over Nashville Hunters Lane in the second round of the Ravenwood Winter Classic.
Emma Palmer poured in 22 points while Julia Maki drilled four 3-pointers and finished with 12 as MJ moved to 9-2 overall.
