WATERTOWN -- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon May 31 at Hunter Funeral Home for Mrs. Dedman, 93, of the Saulsbury COmmunity.
A homemaker and a 70-year member of Good Hope United Methodist Church, she died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at University Medical Center in Lebanon.
Mrs. Dedman faithfully served her church as church secretary, historian, membership secretary and Sunday school teacher.
Services were conducted by Rev. Ed Pugh and the Rev. Dave Winton. Interment was at Wilson County Memorial Park.
Survivors include: daughter Mollie (Bobby) McEachern of Lebanon; granddaughters Diane (Brownie) Vantrease of Lebanon and Vicki (James) Smith of Lebanon; great-grandchildren Trey Vantrease, Meredith Vantrease and Heather Smith -- all of Lebanon, Sean Smith and Brandon Smith of Murfreesboro; nephew Jeff (Bettye Ann) Burton of Watertown.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Dedman; great-grandson Christopher Vantrease; parents Joe and Vina King Burton; sister Estelle Enoch and brother Clarence Joseph Burton.
Great-grandchildren served as pallbearers. Honorary: Harold Ingram, Albert Allison, David Shehane, Joe Allen Williams, Dr. Joe Bryant and Ladies Sunday School Class at Good Hope United Methodist Church.
