Will move to state-of-the-art complex in heart of city
The Mt. Juliet Chamber of Commerce's much anticipated "save the date" surprise was revealed yesterday with their announcement Feb. 29 at 2:29 p.m. ground breaks for a brand new, state-of-the-art complex in the heart Mt. Juliet, and they will be a tenant.
The office complex will be across from the train station on East Division Street, said Chamber Director Mark Hinesley. It's currently dubbed Town Center Station and is a 24,000-square-foot building developed by Agilitas Property Development.
The project is under the guidance of Seth McDowell, who developed the surrounding area that now has Mirko's Pizza and Children's Clinic East, along with other businesses. The project manager is Heath Thorne.
Hinesley said his neighbors at the new building will include Aflac, Keller Williams and Peoples Home Equity.
The chamber will lease 3,400 square feet of the grand two-story building, said Hinesley. They hope to be moved by September.
"We will finally have a huge meeting room with the latest and greatest in technology," said Hinesley, who has done business since 2004 out of a renovated home on West Caldwell Street.
"From day one when we move in we will improve every program and service overnight," he said. "The meeting space will be astronomical. Just think, people from Nashville can get on a train to Mt. Juliet, cross the street and join us. I also know this development will spur others."
Hinesley said the success of the upcoming development "is a testament to the confidence of our local businesses for the future here."
