Mt. Juliet player wins $2 million Powerball

The player purchased a Powerball ticket at the local market and added the Power Play option for an extra dollar which doubled their winnings. Gerlock said that once the prize is claimed, the retailer location will be rewarded $5,000 for selling a winning ticket.

The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation operates entirely from revenue it generates through the sale of its products. Net proceeds from sales of Lottery tickets, currently averaging over $5.3 million per week, fund specific education programs, including college scholarships and after-school programs.
