From Post staff reports

No one was injured in a collision involving the Music City Star commuter train and a dump truck on Tuesday.

The accident occurred as the train was headed toward Lebanon to pick up passengers. The train struck a dump truck that was on a construction crossing east of Highway 109 in Wilson County, said a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Transit Authority.

There were no passengers on the train at the time, the spokeswoman said.

The train’s locomotive was damaged, but a leased locomotive was used to operate the train on Tuesday afternoon.
