New businesses, remodels set for Providence

Two new stores will join the fray at Providence MarketPlace soon.

Providence General Manager David Heydasch announced Good Feet and Lizard Thicket have leased space at the marketplace and will open next month for one and later this summer for the other.

"The openings of Good Feet next month and Lizard Thicket later this summer represent valuable additions to our mix of already successful retailers at Providence Marketplace," he said. "We strive to develop and maintain a dynamic mix of both fashion and service-oriented retailers that meet the evolving needs of our primarily trade area, which includes Wilson, eastern Davidson and northern Rutherford counties."

Good Feet will be the franchisee's third middle Tennessee location and the fourth store in the state. Heydasch said it will be 1,223 square feet and located across the street from Massage Envy.

Lizard Thicket will be in the Town Center part of the marketplace, adjacent to Lane Bryant. And existing retail building will be expanded to an 3,900-square-foot boutique. Lizard Thicket was founded in 1981 by Sheri Waynick and offers "fashion-forward apparel," and accessories and home décor. This Mt. Juliet location is the third in middle Tennessee.

Good Feet was established in 1992 as a family business. They specialize in products designed to help people who suffer from foot and back pain. There are more than 100 Good Feet stores across the United States, Canada and beyond.

Heydasch told The Wilson Post Yo So Delicious (frozen yogurt) is under new ownership at the marketplace effective last month. And Sun Tan City and Diva Nails have re-upped their leases there.

Red Robin at the MarketPlace is undergoing a remodeling that will "refresh its looks, both inside and out," Heydasch noted. This remodel will be complete mid-March.
