WATERTOWN - Going from questionable to darn near unstoppable in a week's time, Watertown's Luke Turner ran for 192 yards and a touchdown to lead the Purple Tigers to a 49-18 win over Cascade Friday at Robinson Stadium.

Turner missed most of last week's 52-26 loss at Davidson Academy after injuring his ankle. Working hard on his rehab, Turner averaged over 10 yards a carry on 19 attempts as WHS improved to 2-1 on the season.

He is expected to ink his National Letter of Intent during ceremonies planned Wednesday, Feb. 4 -- National Signing Day.

Crutchfield commits to UT-Martin

Lebanon High defensive lineman
Following an official on-campus visit this past weekend, Lebanon High's Julian Crutchfield verbally committed to the University of Tennessee at Martin.

Crutchfield, an All District 9-AAA performer at defensive end of the Blue Devils, is expected to play in the defensive line for the Skyhawks.

Mark Medley hired by Wilson Co. Schools

will run strength & conditioning at middle schools -
Former Lebanon High football coach Mark Medley has been hired by Wilson County Schools and will facilitate the merger of the undermanned gridiron programs at Carroll Oakland and Tuckers Crossroads Middle Schools.

Medley, recently retired from Smith County Schools after a long tenure as a teacher, coach and administrator, will work on a 120-day contract with WCS.
