Lebanon Police Chief Scott Bowen said at 4 p.m. this afternoon that the section of I-40 West that was closed most of the day is now back open.

The interstate was shut down and traffic was diverted to 840 after a tractor trailer overturned near the 233 milemarker at 4:13 a.m. Wednesday. The driver of the truck was identifed in reports as Wendell Cooper. Cooper, who used his shoulder and lap belt while driving, was transported to University Medical Center to treat "non-incapacitating injuries."
