Noted attorney, former judge passes

During World War II, he enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 14. After serving for seven years, he returned home and worked as a police officer, firefighter, and successful business owner before completing his education.

He went on to practice law for well over 35 years. During this time he served as Lebanon City Attorney and well as City Judge.

Mr. Brodhead was a member of the local Bar Association, served on the Board of Law Examiners and was a board member of the Wilson County Help Center. A Shriner and a 32nd degree Mason, he was a member and past Senior Warden of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.

The family will receive friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon between the hours of 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 27.

The funeral service, with military honors, is scheduled 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28 at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, 1500 Hickory Ridge Rd, Lebanon.

Survivors include: his wife of 24 years Judy Nollner Brodhead; children Tara (Mark) Morton and Jeremy (Misti) Creswell; along with grandchildren Dalton Odgon, Olivia Morton, Abby Morton, Samantha Payne, Trent Payne and Kevin Creswell.

He is preceded in death by parents George J. and Imogene Sharrar Brodhead.

The family extends a special thank you to Odyssey Hospice and Home Instead. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.
