Wilson County Fair Board Vice President Jimmy Comer announced Thursday that the Oak Ridge Boys would once again headline the Bates Ford Concert Series during the 2017 Wilson County Fair.
The Grammy Award-winning group previously performed during the 2016 Fair. Comer said they are bringing them back due to "popular demand."
"We got some of our most positive feedback ever from their performance," he explained, adding that nearly 5,000 were in attendance at the concert last August. "The concerts are a very big part of the fair and we very much appreciate Tony Bates and Bates Ford making this happen."
Concerts are planned for Monday and Tuesday night. All shows begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Oak Ridge Boys will perform on Monday night. Tony Jackson will open for them.
Tuesday night will feature gospel sensation Jason Crabb and opening act Zack Williams, who Comer said has a #1 gospel single, "Chain Breaker."
The Wilson County Fair will be held August 18-24.
