Mr. Bass, 88, of Mt. Juliet, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage.
He was the son of the late Bedford and Lattie Johnson Bass and was preceded in death by a brother, Roy W. Bass.

A U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, he retired after 33 years with Singer and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife Dorothy Washer Bass; son Patrick (Teresa) Bass of Mt. Juliet; daughter, Peggy (Tommy) Beechboard of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Charles Neal (Kim) Beechboard of Douglasville, GA, Tiffany Lee (Keith) Ebner of Dallas, GA, Jenna Bass of Mt. Juliet; great grandchildren Anna Lee Ebner and Jared Keith Ebner.

Funeral services 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Cameron and Rev. Carl Price officiating. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Monday and prior to services Tuesday.

Interment with military honors at Jones Hill Cemetery, Watertown.
