Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 6 at the Adams Avenue Church of Christ for Mrs. Gaither, 81, of Lebanon. A devout Christian woman, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she died Feb. 3, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Gaither, who loved to cook, golf, and bowl was a very active member of the Adams Avenue Church of Christ.  The family will be receiving friends at Adams Avenue Church of Christ (600 S. Cumberland, Lebanon  from 9 a.m. until the service on Wednesday.

Services will be conducted by Brother Bill Hayes; assisted by Brother Jim Byrd and Brother Mike Wyatt. Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial.

Survivors include: her husband of 58 years, Waldon Gaither; children Jackie (Melinda) Gaither, Debbie Bair, and Christy Eakes; siblings Amos (Isabelle) Nicholas, Arlen (Bessie) Nicholas, Noble (Edith) Nicholas, Roosevelt Nicholas and Christine Medley; grandchildren Rick (Jessica) Baird, Christy (Adam) Davis, Katlin Eakes and Travis Gaither; great-grandchildren Malachi Davis, Makenzy Davis, and Ethan Baird; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. 

She is preceded in death by parents Joe and Bercelia Poore Nicholas, sister Sara Cooper, and brothers Holden, Virgil, and Paul Nicholas; son-in-law Ricky Baird.

Active pallbearers: Rick Baird, Adam Davis, Travis Gaither, Cecil Nicholas, Billy Joe Medley and George Nicholas. Honorary: Elders and Deacons at Adams Avenue Church of Christ.
