LEBANON — Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, September 5 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Massey, 85, of Lebanon. A native of Wilson County and the son of the late Joseph Walter and Vesta Pearl Dice Massey, he died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at his residence. 

He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1942 and was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theater.

He was a member of the Tuckers Cross Roads United Methodist Church. Mr. Massey was a life-long farmer and retired from the Wilson County Board of Education where he was a maintenance supervisor.

Services were conducted by Brother Wayne Jamison and Brother Jeff Reynolds officiating. Interment was at the Bethlehem Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife of over 57 years Claudine Highers Massey and sons Larry (Shirley) Massey and Mike Massey. Also surviving are grandchildren Robbi Grigsby, David Paris, Mandy Rogers, Terra and Justin Massey; daughter-in-law Sylvia Massey; along with seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Kevin Massey; siblings Joseph, Leon and Ramon Massey and Nerma Jamison. Pallbearers: Joe Allen, Jim, John, and Randy Massey, Dayton Jamison and John Grigsby.

CARTHAGE – Graveside services were held Thursday afternoon, September 3 at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Smith County for Mrs. Stafford, 42, of Carthage.

The daughter of the late Joe and Shirley Harris, Sr., she died at Lebanon’s University Medical Center Monday, August 31, 2009. Services were conducted by Brother Gary "Buster" Drennon.

Survivors include: husband Vince Stafford Sr., children Zack Pardue, Tandi (Vince) Stafford Jr. and Brandy Welch.

Also surviving is her brother Joe Harris Jr., grandchildren Carter and Bryce Stafford, Brenden, Kharma, Aaron, Miracul DeCourcey.  Family served as pallbearers.

Partlow Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

MT. JULIET — Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, September 5 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Jacquemin, 69.

The son of the late Henry Ernest Jacquemin, Sr. and Dorothy Winifred Tetro Jacquemin, he died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009. Mr. Jacquemin was a veteran, having served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include: wife JoAnn Jacquemin of Lebanon and children Frederick L. (Anita) Jacquemin, Jr., Lorrain Jacquemin and Loretta (Kristofer) Holmgren – all of Mt. Juliet.

Also surviving are brothers Henry Jacquemin, Jr. of Torrington, CT and Gordon (Joy) Jacquemin of Camarillo, CA; grandchildren Kyle, Kristofer and Cody Holmgren; Nicholas and Jonathan Castagna; Travis, Drew and Cole Jacquemin; nephews Laurent James, Mark, Michael and Jeffrey Jacquemin.

Memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, 38105-1942.

LEBANON — Beloved husband and father, an honored grandfather and great-grandfather, Mr. Hollopeter died Thursday morning, September 3, 2009.

Preceded in death by his wife, Laura J. "June" of Lebanon, he was the son of the late Clayton D. and Nellie Hollopeter of Toledo, Ohio.

Mr. Hollopeter, a Protestant, was a charter member of the Conn-Weissenberger American Legion Post 587 in Toledo, Ohio.

Known as "Curt" to his family and friends, his prior affiliations include the Toledo local, the Ohio state, and the national chapters of the Chemical Specialties Manufacturers Association. He also contributed to the regional and national Wholesale Pharmaceutical Associations.

The family plans to privately honor his memory and celebrate his life at a place and time yet to be determined.

Survivors include: sister Gloria Hinkle of Temple, TX and children Suzanne (Ed) Erdmann of Austin, TX, Jodi (Jerry) Davis of Mt. Juliet, Dina (Mike) Bozsoki of Lebanon and Craig Hollopeter (Carol) of Toledo; grandchildren Jay, Andy and Emily Erdmann, Jennifer Davis-Kelley and Jessica Gould and Tim Hollopeter; and great-grandchildren Jacob, Josh, Erin, Maddie, Emma, Ben and Oliver.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by granddaughter Kristin Hollopeter of Toledo.

LEBANON -- Mr. Bennett, 23, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Mr. Bennett was a 2005 graduate of Wilson Central High School.

A celebration of life will be held 1-5 p.m. Saturday, September 5 at the home of his parents.

Survivors include his parents Bobby Wayne Bennett and Karen Cavitt; paternal grandmother Elizabeth Bennett; aunts and uncles Jo Ann & Danny Parsons, Patricia Cavitt & Terri Vibbert, Michael (Sandra) Cavitt, Christy (Bill) Rodgers, Vicki & Ricky Bennett, Scott Dean; as well as numerous cousins.

Mr. Bennett is preceded in death by sister Casey Bennett; maternal grandparents Roy C. & Mary K. Cavitt and paternal grandfather Bobby D. Bennett.

The family requests that memorials be made in Evan’s memory to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, PMB 407727, 2301 Vanderbilt Place, Nashville, 37240.
