LEBANON - Mrs. Allen, 47 passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at her home. Born May 25, 1962, in Davidson County, Tennessee, she is the daughter of Jack L. and Marjorie Kahler Allen of Lebanon. She was a 1980 graduate of McGavock High School and Tennessee Tech. She was a medical technologist at University Medical Center and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Troy Lynn Fox; two daughters, Noel Kahler Fox and Amanda Elizabeth Fox; parents, Jack & Marjorie Kahler Allen of Lebanon; brother, James Michael (Pamela) Allen and a nephew, Jesse Allen all of Donelson. Funeral services for Shelley Rae Allen are scheduled for 11a.m. Friday, July 3 at the First United Methodist Church, 415 West Main Street, Lebanon, with Dr. Martin Thielen officiating. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville. Visitation will be at the First United Methodist Church on Thursday 4-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m.Friday. Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |

MURFREESBORO — Mrs. Howard of Murfreesboro passed away on June 30, 2009 at NHC of Murfreesboro. She was a native of Cannon County, but lived most of her life in Rutherford County. She was a member of the Garden Lovers Club and Murfreesboro Woman’s Club. She was a member of Third Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, where she served many years as Sunday School Secretary. She was a former employee of MTSU and the Rutherford County Election Commission. Mrs. Howard is preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Howard; her parents, C.H. and Lena Moore Hancock; one brother, Clarence Hancock; and three sisters, Willie Mae Griffin, Laura Griffin and Viola Rogers. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Lounita Howard of Lascassas; special nephew and niece, Danny Hancock of Smithville and Johnnie Mai Hancock Watson of Donelson, and other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Chapel services will at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Jennings and Ayers Chapel. Burial will follow at Prosperity Cemetery with Steve Hutson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, at Jennings and Ayers. 820 S. Church Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Jennings and Ayers Chapel is in charge of arrangements. |

LEBANON — Ms. Kemp passed away on June 29, 2009 at age 78. The family received vistors at at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Tuesday, June 30. Services, conducted by Reverend Gordon Lee, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 1 at the Church of God Worship and Ministry Center in Lebanon. Visitation at the church is from 11 a.m. until service. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers: Wesley Kemp, Terry Kemp Jr., Mack Stewart Jr., Troy Bond, Jeffrey Bond, and Dustin Allen. Survivors include son: Jeff (Fawn) Bond; grandchildren: Troy Bond and Jeffrey (Catrina) Bond; sisters: Mary Stewart and Kathy (Bill) Brewster; brother: Terry (Judy) Kemp; 2 great-grandchildren: Maravich Bond and Jacob Bond; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents Clifton and Bertha Starnes Kemp, sisters Peggy Foster and Sue Bonner, and brothers C.H. Kemp, Kenneth Kemp, and Harlan Kemp. LEBANON — Mr. Denny passed away on June 27, 2009 at age 76. He owned East High Market in Lebanon for many years. Visitation was held at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Monday, June 29 and Tuesday, June 30. The chapel service was conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 30. Interment in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Jeff Bennett, Randy Leach, Jake Foy, Paul Robert Leonard, Robert Denny Jr., and Albert Bradley Denny. The family offers special thanks to Charles and Reva Wilson. Survivors include wife of 53 years, Betty Denny; son: Billy Collier Denny Jr.; and grandchildren: Brad and Amber. MT. JULIET — Mr. Buntin, age 51, of Mt. Juliet, died Sunday, June 28, 2009. Mr. Buntin was a self-employed painter for most of his lifetime. He enjoyed playing pool and riding motorcycles. He is survived by his wife Nancy Buntin, parents C.V. Buntin and Margie Brown, daughters Kim Brown, Cindy (Jason) Krantz and Sally (Eric) Spear, brother Harold Buntin, sisters Ann Hodgkin, Joyce Hobdy, Wanda Braswell-Eden and Tammie Clark and 10 grandchildren. Mr. Buntin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Essie Buntin and his brother, Gerald Buntin Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Harold Buntin and Phillip Brown officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Cross Plain Cemetery, Cross Plains. Active pallbearers will be James Buntin, David Buntin, Johnny Hobdy, Eric Walls, Tony Walls, and Michael Walls. Visitation was held at Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. Juliet Road and Weston Drive, Mt. Juliet. |
