LEBANON -- Funeral services were conducted Tuesday evening, June 16 at Bond Memorial Chapel, for Mr. Scott, 78, of Mt. Juliet. A faithful member of West Hills Baptist Church in Lebanon, Mr. Scott died Saturday, June 13, 2009. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the 31st Fighter Escort Wing. His career spanned 59 years in aviation maintenance as a mechanic, teacher, inspector, examiner and, most recently, as a Designated Airworthiness Representative for the FAA. He was the son of the late,John W. and Eva Amburgey Scott, he was the recipient of the prestigious Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award and was a 33rd Degree Mason. Funeral services were conducted by Dr. Jonas Taylor and Rev. Aubrey Hayes. Graveside services with military honors will be conducted 3 p.m. EST Wednesday, June 17 at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens in Blountville. Survivors include: his wife of 57 years Patsy Depew Scott and daughters Diane Scott (Benny) Edmondson, Pamela Scott (Jim) Tyson and Karen Scott Ferraro. Also surviving are grandchildren Heather Ziegler, Nicole Edmondson, Ashley Edmondson, Robert Battle and Joseph Battle; step-grandchildren Bethany Tyson Sharp and Matthew Tyson; great grandchild Hayden Cook. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of West Hills Baptist Church 1240 Leeville Pike, Lebanon. Bond Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements. |

LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 16 at the Sellars Funeral Home for Mr. Nation, 34, of Lebanon. He died June 11, 2009. Services wer conducted by Bro. Bill Fowler. Burial at the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Survivors include children Sara Nation, Ali Nation, Tyler Nation; step-son Brendan Mace; father Glenn Nation, mother Judy Woodard; step-father Mark Woodard; siblings Sandra Hendrix, Rhonda Nation, David Johnson and Regina Johnson as well as grandparents: Millard and Jewell Nation. Sellars Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |

LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, June 15 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Climer, 54, of Lebanon. A native of Wilson County and a 1973 graduate of Lebanon High, Mr. Climer died June 12, 2009 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was a Route Supervisor for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company where he had worked for over 35 years. He was the son of the late Ewing Foster Climer and Lucile Wynne Climer Baird Page. Mr. Climer was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and attended the First Church of the Nazarene and the First United Methodist Church. Services were conducted by Rev. Gary Wilson and Chaplain Tom Toner. Interment was at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Survivors include: his wife of over 32 years Cindy Dickens Climer; daughters Jennifer (Doug) Fennell of Alexandria and Jessica (Rob) Johns of Lebanon. Also surviving is granddaughter Lana Marie Fennell of Alexandria; sisters Doris (Ronnie) Myers of Lebanon; Janie (LeRoy) Canfield of Watertown; and Cheryl (Doug Baxter) Walker of Lebanon; in-laws Johnny and Louise Dickens of Lebanon. Honorary pallbearers included employees of the Coca Cola Bottling Company. Active: Rob Johns, Brad Whited, Ronnie Dickens, Brian Dickens, Alex Dickens and Mitch Dickens. Gordon Lee. Burial at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Survivors: son Keith (Dianne) Woodard; grandsons Ryan (Jennifer) Dickens and Chad Dickens; great-grandchildren Kaylie, Luke and Matthew; sister-in-laws Lucille Woodard and Marie Brewington; brother-in-law Johnny Gulley. MURFREESBORO – Funeral services have been set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 17 at the Woodfin Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Hixson, 87, of Murfreesboro. A native of Dunlap, and the daughter of the late Sam and Elizabeth Jackson, she died Sunday, June 14, 2009. Mrs. Hixson was a member of Haynes Chapel United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Frank Blair. Graveside service and burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Dunlap. Survivors include: children Diann (Morris) Summers of Lebanon, G.C. (Stella) Hixson and R.B. (Fran) Hixson — all of Murfreesboro. Also surviving are sisters Nina Jo Smith and Nola Miller — both of Chattanooga; grandchildren Rhonda Bunch, Norman Summers, Clay Hixson, Cory Hixson, Megan Hixson; great grandchildren Garrett Bunch, Walker Bunch, Carter Bunch, Jackson Summers, Campbell Hixson and Piper Hixson. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George "Buddy" Hixson in 2004.
