WATERTOWN -- East Tennessee power Oneida jumped to a 14-3 lead after one quarter and never looked back en route to a 27-3 victory over Watertown High Friday night at Robinson Field.
The Indians improved to a perfect 5-0 on the season while the Purple Tigers slipped to 1-4 with the homecoming loss.
Senior kicker Ryan Huffman’s first quarter field goal proved to be the only points the local team would post against Oneida.
The Indians took away Watertown’s running game, limiting their hosts to just 10 yards on 19 carries while grinding out 169 yards on 55 carries of their own.
Purple Tiger quarterback Dalton Phillips completed 21-of-30 passes for 169 yards. He was picked off once.

Watertown will be back in action Friday, October 3 as the Purple Tigers travel to Celina for a Region 4, 1A contest with Clay County High.
