Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Graves, 94, of Lebanon. A native of Wilson County and a U.S. Army veteran who served in World War II, he died Feb. 11, 2015 at Quality Care Nursing Home.
The was the son of the late Wilburn and Sulu Mann Graves, he was a member of Fairview Church, as well as a lifelong farmer and retired from AVCO.
The family will receive friends Friday between the hours of 3-7 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. until the funeral.
Services will be conducted by Bro. Jon Akin and Bro. Terry Fesler. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: sisters Frances (Leon) Vantrease, Ellen (Joe) Glick and Sue (Wallace) Alsup; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Trusty Dillard Graves; brother Robert Graves; sisters Opal (Robert) Dillard, Otelia (Fred) Vantrease, Amy (Rev. Allen) Buhler and Hilda (Don) Glick.
Active pallbearers: Mark Tuggle, Mark Easterly, Terry and Robin Vantrease, Victor Buhler, Bro. Thomas Bains and Will Eskew.
