“Light Sensitive” is a tale of love and friendship told in one of New York City’s grittiest neighborhoods, Hell's Kitchen. Thomas Hanratty and Lou D’Marco are long time friends, working class fellows and lifetime residence of Hell’s Kitchen. Eight years ago, an accident left Tom blind and the years have cemented his and Lou’s friendship in an out-of-the-ordinary kind of way.
While trying to expand his horizons, Lou finds love and decides to test the waters with a picture-perfect postcard Christmas in Vermont. Lou recruits a volunteer reader, Edna Miles, from the Center for the Blind to try to pick up where he's left off. Edna’s from the East Side, a whole world away from downtown Manhattan. Edna struggles with her own handicaps to find her independence in the Big Apple, but is a blind man's apartment in Hell's Kitchen really the best place?
“Light Sensitive” contains intense adult language and is not recommended for children under 15.
