Former head coach at Cane Ridge
Former Cane Ridge head coach Jonathan Parks has been hired as the new running backs coach at Mt. Juliet High School.

Golden Bears head coach Trey Perry is not only is excited about the hire of Parks but said it was a no brainer to add another coach with head coaching experience.

"It is with great excitement that we are announcing the addition of Coach Parks to our staff," Perry said. "We will immediately use him on offense and special teams, but for me, it's another opportunity to bounce ideas off of a head coach with a winning track record and he has already hit the ground running and we are a better program for it."

Parks was relieved of his coaching duties at Cane Ridge in December despite the fact he had a 19-14 overall record and led the Ravens to the Class 6A playoffs all three seasons at Cane Ridge.

Cane Ridge hired former Melrose coach Eddie Woods in February.

Parks is ready for a fresh start at a proven football program.

" I'm excited to be part of a program and staff with a hard work and winning tradition,"Parks said. "Football is taken serious at Mt. Juliet and the amount of support and amazing facilities makes it a great place to be each and every day."
