Matt Pillow has been promoted to vice president of First Freedom Bank, according to John Lancaster, chairman and CEO.
Pillow was previously assistant vice president at the bank. He will continue to serve as the office manager of First Freedom's Providence office.
"Matt has done a great job and is very deserving of this promotion," Lancaster said. "He has a deep and meaningful relationship with his customers and always has their best interest at heart. He is also a great community advocate. We are proud to have Matt representing First Freedom."
A 14-year veteran of the banking industry, Pillow joined First Freedom in 2015. A 2002 graduate of Tennessee Tech University, Pillow holds a bachelor's degree in finance. He is also a graduate of the Southeastern School of Consumer Credit and the Tennessee Bankers Association Branch Manager Series.
Pillow is an active member of the community. He is a volunteer with Rehab23 and helps coach softball for the Mt. Juliet Little League. Additionally, he is a member of the Mt. Juliet Noon Rotary, a board member of Wilson County Christmas for All and a 2011 graduate of Leadership Wilson.
Originally from Nashville, Pillow currently resides in Wilson County with his wife, Wendy, and daughter, Rilee. He is a member of Maple Hill church of Christ in Lebanon.
