Police nab trio related to attempted Walmart theft

Drones and an air pistol were the items target by three men at the Mt. Juliet Walmart over the weekend.

Mt. Juliet Police Lt. Tyler Chandler said the attempted theft took place Sunday around 7:30 p.m. at the Walmart located at 300 Pleasant Grove Road. It was foiled by a report to police the robbery was in progress. When police arrived one of the trio was still in the store, however, two others fled the scene.

According to Chandler, Tristan Steib, 22, of Old Hickory, was caught at the scene and taken into custody. Gregory Holt, 21, of Hermitage, was caught walking near the Walmart and also placed into custody. The third suspect, Breon Nicholson, 22, of Hendersonville, was also spotted by police, but tried to run away and resisted arrest. He was placed into custody as well, according to Chandler.

Holt and Steib were both charged with Theft of Merchandise and Nicholson was charged also with Theft of Merchandise with additional charges of Evading Arrest and Resisting Arrest. The three men were arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail
