MJ Christian 15, Stratford  13
NASHVILLE -- Mt. Juliet Christian Acdemy held on for a wild 15-13 victory at Stratford High Thursday afternoon.

Pounding out 11 hits, the Saints improved to 5-5 on the season, and took advantage of seven Stratford errors.

Elliott Lee went 3-for-5 and banged a home run for MJCA while Peyton Sloan drove in three runs with two hits.

Michael Gallione got the decision with Andy Pittman earning a save.

Mt. Juliet Christian will travel to Lebanon Monday, March 31 to play Friendship Christian in a Division II East-Middle District game.

FCS sweeps at St. Andrew's-Sewanee
SEWANEE -- Friendship Christian picked up a pair of Division II East-Middle wins Thursday with a doubleheader sweep at St. Andrew's-Sewanee.

The Commanders won the opener 13-0, then took the nightcap 14-0, imporving to 4-8 overall.

Michael Hawks threw a five-inning two-hitter in the opener, striking out 10. Jackson Vance had three hits while Colton Gaines and Cody Walker each supplied two hits.

Ninth grader Heath Johnson threw a one-hitter in the second game, striking out seven with no walks. Joseph McNamee and Vance each had two hits for the Commanders.

Weather permitting, FCS is scheduled to visit Lafayette today for a 4 p.m. game at Macon County High.

Grissom, Ala. 4, Lebanon 1
MUFREESBORO -- Lebanon slipped to 7-6 on the season following Thursday's 4-1 loss to Grissom, Ala. in the opening round of the Riverdale Warrior Classic at Siegel High.

The Tigers took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fifth, only to see Lebanon's Dawson Hamilton cut the margin in half with an RBI single in the bottom of the frame -- bringing in Jackson Arnold.

Grissom took the lead for good with two more runs in the top of the sixth inning.

Hamilton started and was tagged with the loss, scattering eight hits over five innings. He gave up all four runs, only two of which were earned, striking out three and walking one.

Tristan Warden retired the side in the sixth while Nolan Chambers struck out two in the seventh.

The Blue Devils only mustered four hits, two by Arnold, one each from Nick Sanders and Bryce Lester.

LHS is scheduled to play Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett today at 4:30 p.m. at Mt. Juliet High. Saturday's Warriors Classic schedule finds Lebanon playing a 10 a.m. game at Lavernge vs. Christ Presbyterian Academy, followed by a 12 noon game with the host LaVergne Wolverines.
