BRENTWOOD -- Leading 4-2 in the sixth, Wilson Central stranded several baserunners in the late innings of Friday's 11-inning 5-4 loss at Ravenwood in a Class AAA sectional.

The Wildcats ended the season 21-12-1 -- one loss shy of a trip to Spring Fling.

Ravenwood pushed across a run in the bottom of the 11th off reliever Kyle Schmitt (7-2) as Darrell Freeman's two-out single to left field drove in Bailey Whitten from second.

"We had some chances, but we couldn't come up with the big hit when we needed it," Wilson Central coach Anthony Ford said.

WCHS collected 11 hits against Raptor pitching, but couldn't produce in the late innings.

Central starter A.J. Franklin went seven innings, striking out eight, and left with the game tied 4-all.

Ben Spradley had a single and a double, driving in two runs in the loss.
