Friendship 4, Eagleville 3
LEBANON -- The Friendship Christian School Commanders improved to 5-7 on the season after taking down Eagleville 4-3 Wednesday evening.

Down 3-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth, Friendship's Jacob Self drove in Cody Walker with a single. Marshall Taylor moved Self to second with a single, bringing up Eli Hunt -- who singled up the middle to bring in Self with the go ahead run.

Samuel Hollis went the distance to get the decision, striking out three and scattering seven hits.

The come-from-behind win over the Eagles came on the heels of Tuesday's 14-6 win at McGavock High. The Commanders got a complete game pitching performance from Heath Johnson as the sophomore held the Raiders to five hits with four strikeouts.

Colton Gaines had three hits and drove in three runs with a triple and a double. Jackson Vance added three hits while Jackson MacNamee had two hits.

Friendship Christian's baseball team will try to extend a modest two-game win streak Friday, March 27 when Columbia Academy comes to town for a 6:30 p.m. contest.

Mt. Juliet 11, Beech 1
SHACKLE ISLAND -- Mt. Juliet improved to 6-4 on the season and a perfect 3-0 in District 9-AAA following Wednesday night's 11-1 victory at Beech High School. The Golden Bears pushed across six runs in the top of the fourth inning to break the game open.

Mt. Juliet pounded out 12 hits in the five-inning game, including three hits by leadoff man Brock Fortner. Tyler Brown and Zach Ehrhart each had two hits while Adam Brown drove in three runs.

Logan Harris (1-2) and Ethan Smith combined to limit the Bucs to just four hits while striking out three.

Wilson Central 7, Portland 3
PORTLAND -- John Michael Jenkinson's two-run homer helped key a five-run second inning as Wilson Central defeated District 9-AAa rival Portland 7-3. Wilson Central improved to 6-3-1 on the season after ripping 10 hits against Panther pitching -- including two off the bat of Tony Pfeferle.

Kyle Schmitt (3-0) gave up six hits in his seven innings of work to get the win, He struck out nine batters.
