PREP GOLF -- Central sweeps LHS Tuesday

GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central's golf teams improved to 2-0 on the season following Tuesday's sweep over District 9AAA rival Lebanon High at Pine Creek Golf Course.

The Wildcats shot a team score of 331 while Lebanon posted a 351. The Lady Wildcats squeezed out a narrow one stroke win over LHS -- 176 to 177.

Lebanon's No. 1 J.C. McDearman took low medalist honors in the boys match with a 78. Playing at No. 3, WC's Reece Gaddes led his team with a 79.

Lise Malherbe fired a 75 for low medalist in the girls match. Caroline Hendrick led Lebanon with an 87.

Wilson Central will be back in action Tuesday, Aug. 19 vs. Portland and Gallatin at the Dogwood Hills Course.

Lebanon is scheduled to play Station Camp and Mt. Juliet the same day at the Country Hills golf Club in Hendersonville.
