GLADEVILLE -- Taking control early with four runs in the bottom of the first, Wilson Central went on to record a 9-5 home win over District 9-AAA rival Lebanon Tuesday.
The Lady Wildcats banged out a season-high 15 hits, improving to 11-12 overall, 2-1 in the district. LHS fell to 9-6 overall, 1-2 in 9-AAA.
Every Wilson Central starter had at least one hit apiece, with Brittany Wiseman, Morgan Powell, Kendall Eden, Kayla Varner, Claire Smith and Kelsey Tomlin banging out two hits each.
Shelby Jones and Kaitlin Eakes each had two hits for the Lady Devils.
Wilson Central has a few days off before the team visits to Huntsville, AL this weekend to play in the Bob Jones Invitational Tournament.
Lebanon will be in action Thursday, April 3 at Friendship Christian. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
Mt. Juliet 16, Gallatin 0
GALLATIN -- Savannah Sanders threw a four-inning perfect game Tuesday as Mt. Juliet hammered Distrrict 9-AAA rival Gallatin 16-0 at Triple Creek Park. Sanders whiffed eight of the 12 batters she faced as Mt. Juliet improved to 14-2 overall and 3-0 in the district.
The game was over early as the Lady Bears struck of 10 runs in the top of the first.
Emily Bombard, Shelby Woodard, Savanna Oliver and Kristen Jackson had three hits each for the winners.
Gordonsville 7, Lebanon 5
LEBANON -- A last ditch Lebanon rally fell short as Gordonsville pulled out a 7-5 win over the Lady Devils Monday afternoon. Trailing 7-2 headed into the bottom of the seventh, LHS struck for three runs for the final margin.
Gordonsville piled up 13 hits against Lebanon starter Anna Smallwood. Kaitlin Eakes and Sarah Aubuchon each had three hits for the Lady Devils while Brittany Naglehout and Shelby Jones each had two hits.
