Lebanon sweeps Gallatin -
LEBANON -- Celebrating Senior Night in a big way, Lebanon rolled to a 3-0 home win over Gallatin Thursday night. Game scores: 25-7, 25-11 and 25-12.

Nicole Painter finished with 16 kills and two aces whole Brian Clemmons had seven kills and seven digs. Zia Hamilton passed out 25 assists with nine aces and 10 digs; Erin Aronld had four digs and two kills.

Lebanon improved to 19-5 overall and 11-3 in District 9-AAA play, heading into the District 9-AAA tournament next week at Wilson Central.

Watertown 3, Smith Co. 0
WATERTOWN -- The Tigerettes closed out the regular season 18-9 overall following Thursday's 3-0 home win over Smith County High. Game scores: 25-7, 25-13 and 25-18.

Seniors Paige Mock, Alle Aylor and Victoria Foster were honored during pregame ceremonies.

Watertown will open District 8-A tournament play 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6 against Merrol Hyde with the winner moving on to play host Gordonsville at 8:30 p.m.

FCS upends Zion 3-1
LEBANON -- Friendship Christian prepped for Monday's opening round of the Divison II district tournament by downing previously undefeated Zion Christian Academy 3-1 Thursday at the Bay Family Sportplex. Game scores: 25-16, 25-16, 12-25 and 25-22.

Morgan Vallett led the way with 12 kills and eight digs while Aja Jones totaled nine kills and four blocks.

Cameron Burton finished with 21 assists, five digs and two kills; Allie Burge had 11 digs and an ace; Kendall Tipton scores five kills and three digs and Libby Nave registered 19 digs.

Now 20-18 overall and 14-2 in the East-Middle District, FCS will host a first round tournament game Monday, Oct. 5. Opponent and game time TBA.

Beech 3, Wilson Central 1
SHACKLE ISLAND -- Wilson Central closed out the season Thursday with a 3-1 loss at District 9-AAA rival Beech High School. Game scores: 25-22, 9-25, 21-25 and 21-25

Megan Belcher led the lady Wildcats with 17 assists, four kills, an ace, four blocks and eight digs. Averi Usher finished with two assists, eight kills, an ace, two blocks and 15 digs while Ashlyn Guethlein had 14 digs, four kills and an ace.

Taylor Tucker was solid at the net with five kills and five blocks; Shelby Coombes had two kills, a block and three digs; Kendal Tomlin had 14 digs.

Wilson Central (3-10 district / 14-21 overall) will host the District 9-AAA tournament which opens Monday, Oct. 5.
