CHATTANOOGA -- Region 3-4 champion Boyd-Buchanan earned a trip to the TSSAA Class A state tournament with a 3-0 sectional win over Watertown Thursday, Oct. 16. Game scores: 25-17, 25-17 and 25-11.

"We had a great season, and I am extremely proud of how the team worked during the post-season," said Watertown coach Brandy Holcomb.

"We had great senior leadership this year, and we plan to come back just as strong next year."

Allison Bouton had 15 digs for the Tigerettes while Katie Dalton finished with 10 digs, two aces and a kill. Paige Mock had eight digs and six kills.

The Lady Bucs enter Wednesday's state tournament with a record of 34-12.

Watertown, the Region 4-A runner-up, closed out the year 16-15.

Watertown falls in Region finals
MADISON -- Watertown High's Tigerettes have advanced to Thursday's Class A sectional at Boyd Buchanan with the winner moving on to the TSSAA state tournament next week in Murfreesboro.

WHS enters the sectional with a record of 16-14.

Coach Brandy Holcomb's squad eliminated Jackson County 3-2 in Tuesday's Region 4-A semifinal. Game scores: 25-17, 17-25, 25-22, 21-25 and 18-16.

The Tigerettes then dropped a 3-0 decision to host Goodpasture in the region finals. Game scores: 25-20, 25-12 and 25-10.

Senior Emily Gleason and junior Paige Mock were named to the all-region team.
