Watertown tops Wilson Central
WATERTOWN -- Down 2-0 after two games, Watertown High rallied for a 3-2 volleyball victory over visiting Wilson Cental High Tuesday evening. Game scores: 22-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-21 and 15-7.
Improving to 1-1 following a season-opening loss Monday at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy, WHS was led by Paige Mock with nine kills and seven aces.
Allison Burton recorded 24 digs, Emily Gleason had six kills and four aces while Katie Dalton has five kills and three blocks.

Wilson Central was led by Delaney McCorkle with 16 kills, three digs and an ace. Jordan Fitzgerald passed out 23 assists, had 15 digs, two aces, a block and a kill. Sara Wright recorded seven kills, an assist and a dig while Taylor Tucker served six aces and had five kills.

Wilson Central is scheduled to host Murfreesboro Oakland Thursday, Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. Watertown is on tap to host a tri-match Thursday featuring Trousdale County and Lebanon High.

The Lady Wildcats will be in action Friday and Saturday in the annual Smyrna Bash along with the teams from Mt. Juliet High and Friendship Christian School.

Cookeville 3, Mt. Juliet 2
MT. JULIET -- Cookeville pulled out a 3-2 volleyball win over Mt. Juliet  High Tuesday afternoon. Game scores: 19-25, 25-15, 25-14, 15-25 and 15-3 as Mt. Juliet slipped to 1-1 on the young season.

Cassidy Harris led the Lady Bears with six blocks, six digs and five kills. SaraGrace Wilson dished out 13 assists and recorded three service aces.

MJ Christian 3, Madison Acd. 0
MADISON -- Mt. Juleit Christian’s Lady Saints upped their record to 2-0 on the season following a 3-0 win at Madison Academy Tuesday. Game scores: 25-10, 25-6 and 25-11.

Lauren Wankel had 11 kills while Caroline Scott served 12 aces for MJCA.
