Prices are going up at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center

Prices are going up at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center in Lebanon - but not by much.

Floyd Center Director Tim Hill told The Wilson Post on Wednesday that the increase is "very minimal" to help offset maintenance cost.

"All it is going up is $10 a year for single or family membership, resident or non-resident," he explained. "If they purchase a four-month membership it goes up $3.50 and if they purchase a six month membership it goes up $5."

Daily fees will also increase after Memorial Day. "Usually we go from $6 to $7 Memorial Day through Labor Day, but this year it will be $8 during that time period. We will go back to $6 after Labor Day," Hill said.

Daily fees for children under four used to be $3 per day, which has changed as well. Now children aged 2 and under are free, children 3-5 are $4 during the summer and ages 6-54 pay the $8 fee.

Senior rates, for those age 55 and over, pay $3 year-round.

"This just helps buy chemicals for the pool," Hill said. "Chemicals are going up."
