Providence Place of Mt. Juliet Assisted Living will hold a benefit on Saturday, June 6 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. in honor of former colleague and friend Rhonda Jones.
Jones was diagnosed with cancer only six months ago and recently lost her battle. She worked as a resident assistant at Providence Place for almost two years and was well-known by all who entered the community's doors.
"Rhonda was a dear friend of everyone here at Providence Place. She always went above and beyond for our residents, so we want to help her family any way we can," Cyndi Holland, executive director of Providence Place, said.
Open to the community, the benefit will include a bake sale, community yard sale and a silent auction. All proceeds will go toward medical expenses incurred during and after Jones' battle with cancer. Donations will also be accepted.
Providence Place Assisted Living is located at 1020 Charlie Daniels Parkway in Mt. Juliet.
