WATERTOWN -- Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, July 26, at Hunter Funeral Home for Mr. Davis, 72, of Watertown.
Retired from Lojac Construction and Jones Brothers, the Wilson County native died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at his residence.
The son of the late Edgar and Lona Davis, he worked as a heavy equipment operator.
Services were conducted by Rev. Ben Fuston. Interment was in Jones Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include: wife Dorothy Anderson Davis; son Jimmy (Judy) Davis of Watertown; grandchildren Amanda (Caleb) Henson of Watertown and Aaron Monroe in the U.S. Marine Corps; great-grandchildren Tyler Henson, Johnathan, Emma and Brooke Monroe.
Also surviving: siblings sisters Betty Sue Hasty, Nancy Carolyn Fields, Junior Davis, Truitt (Nancy) Davis, Tony Davis and Charles Davis -- all of Lebanon, Phillip Davis of Hartsville and Rev. Jerry Ray (Dorothy) Davis of Carthage; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis is preceded in death by a son Ricky Lynn Davis; sisters Annie Faye Paris and Janie Lou Wilkerson; brothers Eddie, Paul, Billy and Jackie Davis.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
Watertown's Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
