A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, July 27 at the at Gladeville United Methodist Church, 8770 Stewarts Ferry Pike, for Mr. Evans, 84, of Lebanon.
Mr. Evans, who sold vegetables for over 25 years at Nashville area churches as part of Food Fairs, died July 20, 2014. He was a member of Gladeville United Methodist Church.
Born on October 27, 1929 in Gladeville to the late Judge Turner and Neva Evans, his body was donated to Vanderbilt University Medical School.
Visitation with the family will be at the church from 2 p.m. until service time.
Survivors include daughters Julie (David) Walker and Katie (Hunter) Henson, sons Ray (Linda) Evans and Haskell (Tonya) Evans.
Also surviving are grandchildren Trey, Cody and Lexi Walker; Evan and Emma Henson; Cory and Ethan Evans; Wyatt and Christine Evans; and brother Joe Evans.
Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Lassiter Evans and brothers Jim and Noel Evans.
