The American Red Cross' annual Holiday Hero blood drives are set to be held throughout the region in the coming weeks, including a pair of mobile blood drives to take place in Lebanon on Monday.

The Mobile Holiday Hero Blood Drives will be held Monday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Lifeway Christian Resources Distribution, located at 535 Maddox Simpson Parkway, and at Faith Lutheran Church, located at 1655 West Main Street, from 12:30 until 5:30 p.m.

"The magic of the holiday season is being able to give something special from the heart," said Mario Sedlock, director of donor recruitment for the Red Cross Tennessee Valley Blood Services Region. "When you give blood, you're spreading more than holiday cheer - you're helping to save lives, and that's heroic."

Blood and platelet donors of all types are needed to roll up a sleeve to help ensure patients continue to receive treatment throughout the holiday season.
