Dear Ken: Did Stephen Collins, who played the father, Rev. Eric Camden, on “7th Heaven,” star in any other TV series?Collins, 62, starred in several shows before he struck gold with “Heaven,” which ran for 11 seasons. In fact, word is that Collins would like to get the family back for a TV reunion. His other series included “Sisters,” “Working It Out,” “Tattingers,” and, my favorite by a mile, “Tales of the Gold Monkey.” “Gold Monkey” was produced by Donald Belisario, the genius behind such shows as “Airwolf,“ “Magnum, P.I.,“ “Quantum Leap,” “JAG” and “NCIS.” Collins played pilot-adventurer Jake Cutter in the action-comedy show that was set in the Pacific islands during the late 1930s. The best news is that “Tales of the Gold Monkey,” the pilot and all 22 episodes are now on DVD. Dear Ken: Was Barney Fife related to Andy Taylor on “The Andy Griffith Show”?Barney and Andy were cousins. The relationship is revealed in the very first episode of the show. They also graduated from high school together, at dear old Mayberry Union High.Dear Ken: What years did “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” run and what has happened to Pee-Wee Herman? The Saturday morning kiddie show ran from 1986 to 1991. Paul Reubens, the actor and writer behind Pee-Wee, has written a script for a new Pee-Wee Herman movie, which could be out next year. In the meantime, the actor, 57, is furnishing the voice of Jokey Smurf in the live-action, animated, 3D Smurfs movie coming to the screen next summer. Dear Ken: What is mean Nellie from “Little House on the Prairie” up to now?Actress Alison Arngrim, 48, recently released her book, “Confessions of a Prairie B**ch: How I Survived Nellie Oleson And Learned To Love Being Hated.” In the book, she writes, “(Nellie) was a girl I grew to love. She got me out of my house when I thought there was no escape. . . . She transformed me from a shy, abused little girl afraid of her own shadow to the in-your-face, outspoken, world-traveling, politically active, big-mouthed b**ch I am today. She taught me to fight back, to be bold, daring, and determined.” Today, she lobbies for child protection laws with the National Association to Protect Children and is also a stand-up comedian and works on stage and in films. Dear Ken: What were Linda Ronstadt’s biggest hits? How old is she?The singer is 64, and a fan couldn’t go wrong with her album, “The Very Best of Linda Ronstadt,“ which includes the songs “When Will I Be Loved?,” “(Love Is Like A) Heat Wave,” “You’re No Good,” “It's So Easy,” “Blue Bayou,” “Just One Look,” “Poor, Poor Pitiful Me,” “Back in the U.S.A..” “Love Is a Rose,” “Hurt So Bad,” “Heart Like a Wheel,” “Somewhere Out There” and “All My Life.”
